The Wall Street Journal: New York Republican Rep. Tom Reed won’t run in 2022 after sexual misconduct claims

WASHINGTON — Rep. Tom Reed, R-N.Y., said in a statement Sunday night he would not run for re-election or for governor in 2022, following allegations last week of inappropriate sexual conduct.

Reed also apologized to Nicolette Davis, who told the Washington Post last week that the lawmaker had made unwanted sexual advances to her in 2017, which he said on Friday was inaccurate.
