US equities set for a small gain at the open

US stocks set for a positive open

The S&P 500 impressively rebounded from a mid-day swoon yesterday to finish with a 20-point decline. Futures point to a 7-point gain today at the open. Mega-cap tech stocks are in focus after earnings from Apple, Microsoft, Visa and Google late yesterday.

Expect subdued trading until after the FOMC decision at 2 pm ET.
